Scan my home network
This pings every address on your own Wi-Fi subnet once, to find machines that are on but not running Home Lab yet. It does not touch anything outside your home network. It takes about 10 to 20 seconds.
Add a machine by hand
Use this only if a machine never shows up by itself. Find its IP on its own Machines page, under This machine.
If Windows Firewall asks when you first start Home Lab, allow it on Private networks. That is what lets the other machine see this one. Do not allow it on Public networks.
